The new collection by CHENEY CHAN begins with ”Birth”, deconstructing the poetic essence of life’s nascence by craftsmanship: feather-fringed capes mimic the downy fluffiness of a nestling, with each handcrafted plume retaining its delicate curl; lace is intricately embroidered with hollow-cut embryo-like motifs, revealing glimpses of skin when in motion, like light piercing through an egg membrane; the entire body features gradient embroidery to achieve a sense of layering, with pure white hues reflecting the innocence of the first cry.
